Anna Biernacka has a master's degree in biotechnology from Institute of Biotechnology, Warsaw University of Technology, and doctoral degree in biological sciences from Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences. Her scientific interests is genomic instability, in particular double-strand breaks (DSBs) formation mechanisms. She seeks for a better understanding of the genome sensitivity to DSBs and ways for maintaining genome stability under stress conditions, including replication stress, in relation to higher order chromatin organization.
